There is a new CRAFT PROJECT each month.
We want to encourage our young readers to be creative. Here we see model houses built from card and trees made from pipe cleaners and cotton wool. Notice that the houses and trees are to scale. The children can build realistic villages and even whole landscapes with their models.
On the left are two puppet heads made from paper mache and wool. They are part of a larger project, making glove puppets and learning how to use them in a puppet theater. On the right there is a diorama; a dramatic scene showing how Jesus rescues Peter from the stormy Sea of Galilee, when Peter began to sink.
Here is a model boat built from card, balsa wood, cotton threads and paper. Full plans and instructions are given for every model. On the right is a paper mache mask, being lifted from a mold of modeling clay.
